Description

Registers voters, and administers, prepares, conducts and tallys, in a uniform and impartial manner, federal, state and county elections in accordance to state statutes. Acts as a registry and dissemination center for candidate, campaign, financing, political and voting information. Offers a free candidate workshops, district workshops, poll worker trainings and a disability access booth and a variety of assistive devices at each polling place.

County Clerk issues marriage licenses, conducts weddings, serves as a passport application agency, files fictitious business names, issues notary oaths, and other clerk services.

Elections Department conducts all federal, state and local elections in Santa Cruz County as well as manage voter registration and petition services.
