BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS | BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF MONTEREY BAY

BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS

Matches caring and responsible adults with children for one-to-one mentoring throughout Santa Cruz County, Monterey County & San Benito County. Program requires a minimum one-year commitment from Big, Little and the Little's caregiver. Children ages 7 and up are referred and paired with a carefully screened adult mentor through a matching process. Mentors are provided with training, support, and ongoing coaching from agency staff.

Also offers an after-school enrichment and mentoring program in Watsonville and Santa Cruz.

YOUTH SERVICES

Provides daily supervised programs after school and all day during holidays and summer vacations. Full-time professional leadership is supplemented by part-time workers and volunteers. Offers programs in five areas of youth development; education and career development, leadership development, health and life skills, art and sports, and recreation.

Most sports seasons do not overlap so that the students themselves can play in several different sports teams during the school year. In some sports coaches must make cuts, while in others, cuts are not necessary. Practice is scheduled every day after school and parents are responsible for transporting their children.

CAMPUS KIDS CONNECTION

Campus Kids Connection, Inc. provides quality, on-site child care programs in a safe, fun filled, and enriching environment for a diverse population of families in Santa Cruz County. The program provides a variety of activities for children and assures that each child has an opportunity to practice a broad range of skills.

ATHLETICS | SANTA CRUZ CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

ATHLETICS

Interscholastic sports throughout the school year. Participation is voluntary and all students are welcome. Most sports seasons do not overlap so that the students themselves can play in several different sports teams during the school year. In some sports coaches must make cuts, while in others, cuts are not necessary. Practice is scheduled every day after school and parents are responsible for transporting their children.
