The program provides a healing environment where residents receive the treatment, support, and care they need to stabilize and move out of their crisis state. Staff provide group and individual counseling, as well as assistance with independent living skills and connecting to the community. Treatment approaches include Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Awareness Program, Trauma Informed Care, and Dialectical Behavioral Treatment (DBT). A nurse and County psychiatrist are available for medication monitoring and management.

Santa Cruz Residential Recovery offers a 30-bed co-ed residential program, serving clients for 30-90 days, based on individual needs. Staffed by a highly skilled and trained team, certified clinicians help clients focusing on issues surrounding recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders. Program activities include evidence-based trauma informed and cognitive behavior therapies (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as focused individual and group counseling, pro-social life skill building, mindfulness and daily house meetings.

Services include assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy (individual, family), case management, and psychiatric care (evaluation and medication management). Services delivered at County behavioral health clinic locations, community, or home-based settings, as clinically appropriate.
The Access Team provides 24-hour confidential crisis intervention and referral services (800-952-2335).
Provides substance use disorder prevention, early intervention, and treatment services across the continuum of care.
