This 23-bed residential program serves Spanish speaking, male clientele for a 30-90-day period, based on individual client needs. Staffed by a bilingual team, highly skilled, trained, and certified clinicians help clients focusing on issues surrounding recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders. Program activities include evidence-based trauma informed and cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as focused individual and group counseling, pro-social life skill building, mindfulness, and daily house meetings.

The multi-story home sits on a large wooded lot, in a quiet and serene setting. Freedom House is located far away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Cruz, with convenient public transportation access. At Freedom house, clients receive the benefits of community support from recovery peers as well as bilingual house management.
