The location provides easy access to public transportation and is in the heart of West Side Santa Cruz, which is bustling with activities and local businesses. Located near busy Mission Street in Santa Cruz's beautiful Residential West Side, residents will have access to many local eateries, businesses, activities and job opportunities. Residents are encouraged to live independently in this supportive, community based setting. Residents are encouraged to develop and practice life skills and relationship building. In this supported environment, residents are able to develop a stronger sense of accountability, responsibility and community to further their recovery. FREEDOM HOUSEDescription: Located just off historic Highway 1 in Aptos, CA, Freedom House is a sober living home for 12 men who are actively engaged in recovery. The multi-story home sits on a large wooded lot, in a quiet and serene setting. Freedom House is located far away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Cruz, with convenient public transportation access. At Freedom house, clients receive the benefits of community support from recovery peers as well as bilingual house management. Residents build community connections by attending weekly house meetings where rules and policies are frequently reviewed and assessed which helps to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
