Encompass' Youth Services Mental Health Counseling program is personalized to meet the individual needs of youth and to enhance the strengths and assets of each family. We provide individual, group, and family counseling for youth and families. Participating in counseling improves family, peer, and community relationships; increases self-confidence and school performance; and reduces drug and alcohol use. Services can be provided in home, in office, virtually via the web, and over the phone.

Jvenes SANOS is a youth advocacy and leadership program based in Watsonville, California. Jvenes SANOS strives to empower, educate, and raise awareness about youth mental health within the community. Jvenes SANOS works to build an environment that embraces a culture of health and wellness by cultivating peer-to-peer conversations regarding mental wellness and promoting hope, resiliency and healing. Members meet weekly to

• participate in fun and interactive activities
• build community
• discuss projects and updates
• work together towards reaching our goals
• participate in College and Career readiness activities

Provides daily supervised programs after school and all day during holidays and summer vacations. Full-time professional leadership is supplemented by part-time workers and volunteers. Offers programs in five areas of youth development; education and career development, leadership development, health and life skills, art and sports, and recreation. Stress Buters: Mindfulness Practices, Physical Activity, Supportive Relationships.

We provide work-based learning opportunities like expos, panels, guest speakers and more to elementary, middle, and high school students as well as internships for post-secondary students. Students get to explore a variety of career options and interact with professionals currently working in the industry. We provide real-world exposure and connect youth to adults who can assist youth with finding their path. Nothing is more valuable than hands-on experience.

Youth Services: YOUTH LEADERSHIP

At Encompass, we value dignity and respect for all people as they work toward healing and recovery. Our certified clinicians provide a full spectrum of trauma-informed substance use disorder services for youth and their families. As an integrated behavioral health agency, we also specialize in treating co-occurring disorders. Harm reduction is central to our approach, and we use a number of evidence-based modalities. Mindfulness and body awareness activities are also integrated into our programs. Group Counseling: Evidence-based group models, such as Seven Challenges and Seeking Safety, are offered at our north and south office locations. Individual Counseling: One-on-one counseling is offered in our Santa Cruz and Watsonville offices, as well as in community locations like schools and homes. Intensive Outpatient Counseling: For youth at very high risk, we can provide intensive services (at least six hours per week), including individual, family, and group modalities.
