We build homeownership housing in partnership with volunteers on the job site and future homeowners with the assistance of local donors and gifts of building materials and professional labor. All homes built by Habitat remain affordable forever. If a Habitat homeowner moves, we buy the home back at a principal price and resell to a new qualifying family. We have been building affordable homes since 1989 and will continue to serve Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties for the foreseeable future. We also have built ADU's to help seniors age in place and done rehab/repair projects for the families we serve.

Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay's mission is to build decent affordable homes and provide home ownership opportunities to qualified families who live and work in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. Our vision is to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We are an independently operated and funded affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Since our founding in 1989 locally, we have built 64 homes and served 70 families.
