Eligibility

-Open to low-income, first-time homebuyers earning between 50% and 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). -Must have had no ownership interest in a principal residence during the last 3-year period. -Requires a minimum credit score of 620 and a debt-to-income ratio below 40%. -Must have no Chapter 7 bankruptcy within the last 4 years or Chapter 13 bankruptcy within the last 2 years. -Requires all title applicants to show proof of U.S. legal residency, with at least 1 applicant holding permanent legal residency. -Requires selected households to contribute 500 hours of sweat equity, a $1,500 down payment, and closing costs. -Serves residents of Santa Cruz County and Monterey County.
