Welcome to WomenCARE

A safe haven where women with any type of cancer find mutual support, shared experiences, and open hearts.

WomenCARE provides cancer support groups to address all stages of a client's cancer journey and to offer comprehensive coping strategies. We offer practical support (i.e. transportation to medical appointments, meal preparation, light house cleaning and more) from our many dedicated volunteers. We provide education via our comprehensive library and resource database. Each month we offer a Complementary Treatment Forum which is an educational and collaborative group, with new topics each month, for women who want a safe place to learn, sort through, and share information about the many complementary cancer treatments. We offer support workshops that include meditation, laughter yoga, art, writing and a new class to discuss end of life issues.

Entre Nosotras, our Watsonville based safety-net program, is designed to meet the specific needs of Spanish-speaking women with cancer, most of whom are very low income and lack health insurance. Our Entre Nosotras program director facilitates support groups for these clients,
educates them on community and medical resources, translates and advocates for clients during appointments with health care professionals and provides transportation to medical appointments as needed.
