Families Together provides counseling, parenting support, and case management to families using a home visiting model and a client-centered approach to services. Caregivers participate in the development of an individualized service plan based on their unique strengths and needs. Families referred by Santa Cruz County Family & Children's Services or CalWORKs are assigned a therapist who helps design customized services, including sessions in English or Spanish, and in the home or other preferred location. Families learn about parenting, child development, parent-child attachment, and general wellness. In addition to counseling, home visitors connect families with other community resources such as substance use counseling, interpersonal violence services, and early education support.

Transitional Housing Plus is a supportive housing program that serves former foster and probation youth between the ages of 18-24. Participants receive assistance securing independent housing in the community and meet regularly with their THP Coordinators to work on independent living goals. Throughout this process, participants receive financial assistance with rent, utilities, food, and educational expenses while also saving money for when they leave the program. They also receive emotional support, life skills coaching, and connections to valuable community resources.

The Multi-Family Utility Customer Assistance Program (UCAP) is designed to

assist financially struggling households that live in multi-family apartment

complexes. Households that live in large housing complexes usually pay their

water, wastewater, and/or refuse costs to their landlords or property managers via

rent, a 3rd party bill, or via HOA fees. This Multi-Family UCAP provides a onetime

utility assistance check to help struggling households afford their SCMU

utility service fees/costs. In order to apply, income-qualifying households must

live within SCMU's service area (generally Santa Cruz and Live Oak).
