YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING SERVICES - ENCOMPASS YOUTH SERVICES
Encompass' Youth Services Mental Health Counseling program is personalized to meet the individual needs of youth and to enhance the strengths and assets of each family. We provide individual, group, and family counseling for youth and families. Participating in counseling improves family, peer, and community relationships; increases self-confidence and school performance; and reduces drug and alcohol use. Services can be provided in home, in office, virtually via the web, and over the phone.
ADULT SUBSTANCE USE COUNSELING SERVICES - ENCOMPASS ALTO CENTERS - NORTH & SOUTH COUNTY
Provides Substance Use Disorder Treatment including individual, group and family counseling. Offers strategies to resolve legal, social, and family issues stemming from alcohol and drug abuse including:
- Individual and group chemical dependency counseling
- Aftercare and relapse prevention counseling
- Drug and alcohol abuse education
Court-related services include:
- Deferred Judgment (Court Diversion) provides an alternative to incarceration for first-offenders Alto In-Custody SUD Provides Substance Use Disorder treatment groups for incarcerated adults at the local county jail facilities.

Workforce Santa Cruz County offers specialized programs for young adults (16-24) and adult (18+) job seekers and employees, including members of our community with disabilities, military veterans, and dislocated workers. Our services offer wide range of programs to improve skills, discover career pathways, participate in training, and more: • CalJOBS: CalJOBS is California's online resource to help job seekers navigate the state's workforce services. You can search and apply for jobs, create résumés, find education and training, download the CalJOBS app, and more. • Young Adults: Get help to develop skills, search and apply for jobs, network and connect to community resources. • Dislocated Workers: If you are 18 years or older, access our no-cost services to find a stable job or training for a new career. We can help you figure out what kind of career would be best for you through customized services specific to individuals who have been terminated or laid off, or have received a notice of termination or layoff. • Veterans: Veterans Career Services are available for unemployed and underemployed veterans and their spouses and include access to training, job search and placement assistance, and other supportive services. • Training: Workforce Santa Cruz County provides adult (18+) and youth (16-24) job seekers and employees with access to a wide range of programs to improve skills, discover career pathways, participate in training, and so much more. Offers perinatal education, options counseling, behavioral health support, and legal guidance for families. Supplies material aid, therapeutic interventions, rapid STI screenings, and direct community resource navigation.

YOUTH SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER SERVICES - ENCOMPASS YOUTH SERVICES
At Encompass, we value dignity and respect for all people as they work toward healing and recovery. Our certified clinicians provide a full spectrum of trauma-informed substance use disorder services for youth and their families. As an integrated behavioral health agency, we also specialize in treating co-occurring disorders. Harm reduction is central to our approach, and we use a number of evidence-based modalities. Mindfulness and body awareness activities are also integrated into our programs. Group Counseling: Evidence-based group models, such as Seven Challenges and Seeking Safety, are offered at our north and south office locations. Individual Counseling: One-on-one counseling is offered in our Santa Cruz and Watsonville offices, as well as in community locations like schools and homes. Intensive Outpatient Counseling: For youth at very high risk, we can provide intensive services (at least six hours per week), including individual, family, and group modalities.

HOMELESS PERSONS HEALTH PROJECT
Provides comprehensive case management, community resource navigation, and information and referrals for individuals experiencing homelessness. Offers health screenings, HIV testing, substance use disorder counseling, and health education services. Supplies basic needs assistance, including hygiene products and pet food.

LGBTQ+ YOUTH WELL-BEING PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
The Diversity Center supports Gender Sexuality Alliances (GSAs) in middle and high schools through workshops, special events, and resource sharing. We organize social gatherings and activities for LGBTQ+ and allied youth (ages 11-18) and young adults (ages 18-24), including mental health fairs, Queer Prom, and CampOUT. In response to community needs, we launched a playgroup for gender-diverse children (ages 5-11) in collaboration with TransFamilies. All program participants are asked to complete our Community Connection Survey annually.
Key Programs
Rainbow Kids: A monthly 90 minute playgroup for gender diverse, LGBTQ+ kids and allies elementary school age 5-11 and their families. Co-facilitated with TransFamilies.
Prismatic Youth Gatherings: A monthly activity for LGBTQ+ and allied youth ages 11-18. This program is designed to help youth feel a sense of belonging and empowerment.
GenderVentures: A monthly support group for gender-diverse youth ages 11-18. This program encourages youth to explore and understand how gender informs the way we experience the world. One of the best ways to freely explore gender diversity safely, is to do so with community!
Hosts an annual Queer Prom and CampOUT for LGBTQ+ and allied youth ages 14-18.
PARENTING FOR STRONG COMMUNITIES
Provides ongoing class series, workshops, specialized trainings, and mutual support groups focused on Positive Discipline models. Offers research-based educational instruction to develop social, emotional, and foundational life skills for youth. Connects parents, schools, and community organizations to family well-being resources.

Jóvenes SANOS is a youth advocacy and leadership program based in Watsonville, California. Jóvenes SANOS strives to empower, educate, and raise awareness about youth mental health within the community. Jóvenes SANOS works to build an environment that embraces a culture of health and wellness by cultivating peer-to-peer conversations regarding mental wellness and promoting hope, resiliency and healing. Members meet weekly to
