FLU AND WHOOPING COUGH (PERTUSSIS) VACCINES

Provides Alliance members a free vaccine at their local retail pharmacy. Be sure to bring their Alliance ID card. Children under 18 are advised to see their doctor for the vaccine, however, some retail pharmacies such as Walgreens are beginning to administer the vaccines for children over the age of 7. Check with the pharmacy. Pregnant women are also encouraged to get a vaccine while pregnant to help them to stay healthy and protect the baby after it is born.

RECREATION SERVICES

Provides recreation facilities including a community center with a commercial grade kitchen, four swimming pools (a 50-meter lap pool, a warm-water pool with a zero depth entry ramp for wheelchair access, a wading pool and a corkscrew water slide) and an eating area near the pools. This site is also the location of the Parks Department main offices. Many activities are offered at the center, including swimming lessons for all ages, lap swimming lanes, swim teams, water polo, water therapy, water aerobics, lifeguard training, social and recreational activities for youth, seniors and children.
