Provides temporary cash assistance and support services for income eligible families with children. Issues Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards with a monthly credit. Requires eligible adult recipients to participate in welfare to work employment services. Offers work preparedness, job development training, and support to address barriers to employment. CalWORKs recipients are automatically eligible to Medi-Cal and may qualify for CalFresh. CalWORKs is the state version of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF).

Provides sober living environments for individuals recovering from substance use disorders who have transitioned from a residential treatment program.

Provides residential treatment services for adults experiencing alcohol or drug addiction. Offers individual counseling, medical services, relapse prevention, and substance use education.

Assesses eligibility and coordinates personal care, estate management, and protective services to secure stable living conditions and mitigate fraud or undue influence.
