Administers public school education services.

Provides substance use treatment to adults in San Mateo County. Treatment includes substance abuse, mental health counseling and educational services, available in the following ways:

• 30 days residential: 30-120 days
• Day Treatment: Minimum of 3 days per week, 3 hours per day
• Outpatient: Minimum of one group per week, 2 individual sessions per month.
• Recovery Residence: Therapeutic Supportive Housing for persons in Outpatient
• Transitional Housing: For clients non clients in need of housing

Trauma services are available for those who have experienced some form of trauma.

Provides transition support and case management for youth exiting probation-based placements and returning to family-based home environments. Collaborates with local probation, education, and law enforcement agencies to create comprehensive transition plans. Connects participants and families to mental health counseling, substance use resources, employment assistance, academic support, and prosocial activities.

Provides financial assistance to help income eligible families access early child care services.

Accepts donations of clothing, household textiles of all kinds, housewares, jewelry, furniture, lamps, kitchenware, antiques, bicycles, shoes, small appliances, china, glassware, electronic equipment in good condition including computers, knick knacks, linens, sporting equipment, cars and boats.

Does not accept donations of mattresses and bedding, older TVs, (more than five years old). Furniture that needs repair or reupholster, built-in appliances, plumbing fixtures, used building materials, water soaked or stained items, broken appliances, magazines, chemicals or paint.

Provides interpreter and language services to individuals with limited English ability. Supports clients in understanding and taking part in the court process. Assigns qualified court interpreters at no cost to clients for all mandated case types including:

• Criminal
• Traffic
• Juvenile Justice
• Juvenile Dependency
• Unlawful Detainer (evictions)
• Child Support cases handled by the Department of Child Support Services
• Domestic Violence Restraining Orders
• Civil Harassment Restraining Orders
• Probate:
  • Elder or Dependent Adult Restraining Orders (involving physical abuse or neglect)
  • Mental Health Conservatorship (LPS)
  • Guardianship
  • Conservatorship

Please note: court interpreters are unable to help with filing court forms or answering legal questions.

Offers professional counseling for children, families, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors. Includes crisis intervention and short-term or long-term therapy. Provides free Bereavement and Healing support groups and interfaith chaplaincy services. Also offers a weekly food pantry to any client as a secondary service.

Manages senior center programs, activities, and events. Provides Tai Chi, computer classes, and art lessons. Offers exercise classes, dance lessons, and games. Serves prepared meals.

Manages community center programs, activities, and events. Provides sports and recreational programs. Offers exercise and fitness classes.

Provides needed health care services for eligible low-income individuals and families.

Medi-Cal helps cover: -Ambulatory patient services -Emergency services -Hospitalization -Dental care which includes preventive and diagnostic services (Denti-Cal) -Maternity and newborn care -Mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment -Prescription drugs -Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices -Laboratory services. -Preventive and wellness services -Chronic disease management -Pediatric services (including oral and vision care) -Offers members Non-Emergency Medical Transportation on a case by case basis

Operates a food pantry and conducts home visits.

Provides short-term medical respite care and nursing support for individuals experiencing homelessness who are recovering from physical illnesses or injuries while receiving integrated social services

Provides harm reduction supplies and support services, including syringe exchange, safe sex supplies, sharps disposal containers, and 24/7 disposal kiosks. Offers Naloxone distribution, HIV/HCV testing, and prevention education. Connects participants to primary healthcare, mental health care, and substance use disorder treatment services.

Provides Seniors with weekly grocery bags containing fresh produce and healthy staples through community distribution sites and home delivery services. Offers an onsite free food market to distribute rescued groceries. Serves community lunches on weekdays.

Manages senior center programs, activities, and events. Provides Tai Chi, Zumba, yoga, dance, fitness, and technology classes. Offers mahjongg, chess, table tennis, music, arts, and crafts instruction.

Offers a temporary shelter for women with children.

Provides sexual transmitted disease screening. Services provided include:

• STI Testing

• HIV Testing

• STI and HIV Prevention

• Womens health information

• LGBTQ health services

• Youth Health Services

Provides case management, systems navigation, and support groups for crime victims and survivors. Offers legal and immigration assistance, including U-Visa support, along with job search and rental assistance. Administers educational support, including tutoring and homework assistance.

Provides clothing vouchers to individuals in need in San Francisco County.

Manages career centers with access to job boards and hiring events with employers. Provides individual assessments, career planning, and skills training. Offers workshops on resume writing, interview skills, and job applications.
