. Dislocated Workers: If you are 18 years or older, access our no-cost services to find a stable job or training for a new career. We can help you figure out what kind of career would be best for you through customized services specific to individuals who have been terminated or laid off, or have received a notice of termination or layoff.
. Veterans: Veterans Career Services are available for unemployed and underemployed veterans and their spouses and include access to training, job search and placement assistance, and other supportive services.

Trains volunteers to work with children who have been removed from their homes, declared dependents of the court due to abuse, neglect or abandonment and placed in foster care.

Court Appointed Special Advocates work for a judge, alongside attorneys and social workers, as sworn officers of the court to advocate for children. Advocates receive an initial 35 hours of training and volunteer 10-15 hours per month on behalf of one child. The volunteer advocates on behalf of the child until the case is resolved.

Workforce Santa Cruz County offers specialized programs for young adults (16-24) and adult (18+) job seekers and employees, including members of our community with disabilities, military veterans, and dislocated workers. Our services offer wide range of programs to improve skills, discover career pathways, participate in training, and more:

. CalJOBS: CalJOBS is California's online resource to help job seekers navigate the state's workforce services. You can search and apply for jobs, create rsums, find education and training, download the CalJOBS app, and more.
. Young Adults: Get help to develop skills, search and apply for jobs, network and connect to community resources.
. Dislocated Workers: If you are 18 years or older, access our no-cost services to find a stable job or training for a new career. We can help you figure out what kind of career would be best for you through customized services specific to individuals who have been terminated or laid off, or have received a notice of termination or layoff.
. Veterans: Veterans Career Services are available for unemployed and underemployed veterans and their spouses and include access to training, job search and placement assistance, and other supportive services.
. Training: Workforce Santa Cruz County provides adult (18+) and youth (16-24) job seekers and employees with access to a wide range of programs to improve skills, discover career pathways, participate in training, and so much more. Eligible youth may co-enroll in both youth and adult programs.
