Foster Grandparents earn serve as volunteer mentors and tutors to disadvantaged children and youth in schools, Head Start Centers and other agencies.

RSVP connects caring folks age 55 and up with non-profit agencies that need volunteers. Our volunteers provide an invaluable service to local agencies by sharing their lifetime of skills, talents, and knowledge. We work with individuals and non-profit agencies in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito Counties.

Our volunteer program is flexible to allow for varied interests (farming, retail, special events, technology, etc.) and schedules (daily, weekly, or just here and there).
AmeriCorps Members are placed for a one-year term and serve as part of a community team, working to coordinate programs and support volunteers.

We offer many diverse ways to become part of our dedicated team.

Bag Build: Pack bags for our delivery program, and/or USDA monthly distribution.
Wednesdays: 8:00 am-10:00 am

Drivers: Pick up bread donations at local groceries. One or more mornings: times vary, call for details.

Hollister Marketplace: Customer service to clients during food distribution. Fridays: 8:30 am-12:00 pm and Saturdays: 8:30 am-12:00 pm

Group projects: Food Bank projects once a month or as needed. Kids' backpack program bag build, any other projects needed by the food bank.

Advocate: You can be an advocate for the Food Bank wherever you go! Tell people about our programs, organize a fundraiser or refer folks to us. Talk to your employer about a payroll deduction donor or volunteer program.
