Provides advocacy, case management, systems navigation, and mental health services for crime victims and survivors. Offers legal and immigration assistance, including support with court proceedings and documentation, alongside basic needs provisions. Administers educational support including tutoring and homework assistance.
ALCANCE
Provides under-resourced, at-promise, and reentry youth and adults with economic opportunities, mentoring, and employment services. Offers skills development, community engagement, job readiness preparation, and linkages to vital community resources. Assists participants with academic advising, tutoring, behaviorial health services, and youth leadership development.

PARENTING: Provides positive parenting educational classes, support groups, and individual coaching sessions. Administers free summer lunches for children.
FOOD: Provides food distribution services to community members.
MENTAL HEALTH: Offers free mental health counseling, advocacy, and emotional support for youth, families, and individuals. Assists participants with developing healthy coping mechanisms and stress management techniques.
LEGAL AND HOUSING: Provides comprehensive housing rights education, personalized case management, advocacy, and counseling for tenants and landlords. Offers mediation, legal case evaluations, document preparation, and representation to resolve housing disputes and evictions.
STORM RECOVERY: Administers storm recovery relief through financial assistance, clean-up tools, and disaster navigation. Provides federal housing navigation support to assist individuals with locating housing options, securing emergency rental assistance, and connecting to community resources.
PEDIATRIC MEDICAL CARE
Provides specialized comprehensive primary healthcare services tailored for infants, children, and adolescents. Services include well-child checkups, childhood immunizations, sports physical examinations, developmental screenings, and pediatric laboratory testing.
VISION CARE
Provides comprehensive eye care and optometry services. Services include routine vision examinations, screenings, and diagnostic evaluations. Specialized optical departments provide prescription fitting, adjustments, and dispensing of eyeglasses and corrective lenses.
MEDI-CAL MANAGED HEALTH CARE PLAN
Provides needed health care services for low-income individuals including families with children, seniors, persons with disabilities, foster care, pregnant women, and low-income people with diseases such as asthma, diabetes, tuberculosis, breast cancer, or HIV/AIDS. Eligibility is determined by the Santa Cruz County Health Services department.
Transportation Services
If you are medically unable to use a car, bus, train or taxi, the Alliance will arrange transportation for you. This type of transportation is called non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT).
NEMT is for when you need extra help or special transportation needs. Examples of NEMT are an ambulance, wheelchair van or air transport.
Transportation to medical services by passenger car, taxicab or other forms of public or private transportation is called non-medical transportation (NMT). NMT is available to members who need help getting to medical services. Members must show that they do not have any other transportation options.
