Camp Erin is a weekend-long camp experience that combines grief education and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities. Led by bereavement professionals and caring volunteers, campers are provided a safe environment to explore their grief, learn essential coping skills, and make friends with peers who are also grieving.

The Downtown Senior Center aims to keep older adults active, engaged and connected with the community through recreation, education and technology. With a variety of classes, activities, trips and services for adults age 50+, there is something for everyone.

Our Dientes Cares Program focuses on making oral health care available to all, especially for low-income, uninsured patients. For those patients who do not have dental insurance, Dientes offers a sliding scale fee (based on proof of income).

SPECIALTY CARE PROGRAM

Dientes offers comprehensive specialty care for patients who previously had to leave the county and wait several months to access services, because there was no endodontist or oral surgeon in Santa Cruz County that accepted Medi-Cal. Through our Specialty Care Program, adults and children can receive root canals, extractions, and other surgical procedures from an oral surgeon and endodontist.

The County of Santa Cruz Human Services Department's In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program supports safe independent living for low-income frail elderly adults and disabled persons of all ages. County IHSS services assist people to apply for and determine eligibility to receive and access IHSS. The IHSS Public Authority - a separate partner agency - is the employer of record for IHSS providers, providing assistance to IHSS recipient consumers on how to interview, hire and supervise a care providers, helping improve service delivery for low income seniors and disabled individuals of all ages who are enrolled in IHSS.

The Self Help Center can provide court forms and legal information during walk-in hours Monday - Thursday 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, & 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM to assist self represented individuals with a variety of basic legal issues including family law, small claims, civil contracts (collections), domestic violence, restraining orders, guardianship, name/gender change, landlord tenant, and conservatorship. The Self Help Center includes the services of the Family Law Facilitator and the Small Claims Advisor.

RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT SERVICES- ENCOMPASS S? SE PUEDE (MALE ONLY)

S Se Puede is one of the only bilingual and monolingual treatment environments in the nation. This 23-bed residential program serves Spanish speaking, male clientele for a 30-90-day period, based on individual client needs. Staffed by a bilingual team, highly skilled, trained, and certified clinicians help clients focusing on issues surrounding recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders. Program activities include evidence-based trauma informed and cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as focused individual and group counseling, pro-social life skill building, mindfulness, and daily house meetings.
