We are providing food, counseling services, and technology (chromebooks and hotspots) for Santa Cruz City Schools students. 9/28/2020 Santa Cruz City Schools is comprised of an elementary and a high school district, governed by a common Board of Education and a general administrative staff. The district serves students residing in the City of Santa Cruz and in county locations from Davenport to Soquel. There are five schools serving nearly 2,000 students in the elementary district, including a Dual Immersion Program. The secondary district includes two middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, a continuation school, an independent studies program and a home school program with a combined population of approximately 4,660 students.

The Family & Children's Services Transition Age Youth (TAY) program serves current and former foster youth age 15-24 with a range of services to assist youth in making a healthy transition to adulthood. Programs include counseling, skill-building, a drop-in center and subsidized supportive housing.

TAY programs include: . The Independent Living Program (ILP) serves current and former foster and probation placement youth age 15-21. It assists youth to develop independent living skills to successfully transition to self-sufficiency and includes services such as one-on-one counseling, assistance in obtaining ID cards, driving permits and licenses and workshops on topics that assist youth in achieving personal, education and vocational goals. . The Transitional Housing Program is a supportive housing program for former non-minor dependents and foster youth between the ages 18-24. One of the universities under University of California offering post-secondary educational service. Responsible for the recruitment, selection, and admission of students. Provides information about admissions criteria and application procedures. The Affiliates work to provide a cultural and academic bridge between the University and community. Affiliates provide scholarships to deserving local UCSC students. Affiliate members receive a monthly UCSC calendar of events including special tours, use privileges of the UCSC pool and sports facilities, and use of the libraries. McHenry Library on campus offers computer and Internet access on the entry-level floor which does not require a username or password, and school policy is to let all members of the public use them for free.
