Youth Services: SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, YOUTH LEADERSHIP

We provide work-based learning opportunities like expos, panels, guest speakers and more to elementary, middle, and high school students as well as internships for post-secondary students. Students get to explore a variety of career options and interact with professionals currently working in the industry. We provide real-world exposure and connect youth to adults who can assist youth with finding their path. Nothing is more valuable than hands-on experience.

Community Bike Collective breaks down barriers for people who would like to enjoy the physical and emotional benefits of bike riding. We do this primarily through two programs, a Ride Program and a Bike Giveaway Program.

The Bike Program: We provide participants with everything they need to have a safe, fun experience riding a mountain bike in the great outdoors, all at no cost to them! Everyone is fit individually with a bike and helmet then we head out to ride the trails. We offer skills instruction, moral support and encouragement. Participants explore the wonder of nature, the challenges of bike riding and the joy of friends and community!

The Bike Giveaway Program: We accept donations of used bikes, fix them, and give them to a deserving new home - 700 bikes since this program began. Youth Services: CAREER EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH & WELLNESS, SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Specializing in the treatment of trauma and mood disorders including PTSD, depression and anxiety, We offer an innovative suite of therapeutic support services designed to promote rapid, lasting recovery. Our services include individual psychotherapy, intensive outpatient programming, as well as workshops in specific aspects of trauma healing, and our programs are designed specifically to integrate healing into daily life with minimal disruptions to living. The County of Santa Cruz Human Services Department's Adult Protective Services (APS) provides intervention services to protect elderly or dependent adults from abuse, neglect, or exploitation. We support older and disabled adults who may be experiencing physical assault or abuse, domestic and/or family violence, sexual assault or abuse, bullying (verbal, cyber, or physical), stalking, harassment, neglect, identity theft or fraud, financial crime or scams.

County APS agencies investigate reports of abuse of elders and dependent adults who live in private homes, apartments, hotels, hospitals, or who are, or soon will be, experiencing homelessness. We support older and disabled adults regardless of status-if you are experiencing homelessness; are an immigrant; identify as LBGTQIA+; are a Veteran, have a physical or mental disability; or if you have limited English language proficiency.

• Case management and service coordination including planning, goal setting, residential placement, respite help, medical services, therapies, parenting classes, independent living skills training, mobility training and more.
• Early intervention services for young children (age 0-3) with developmental disabilities may include speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, infant development programs, behavior modification and respite care.
• School age services are provided for children and youth (age 3- 22). Offers assistance accessing generic resources, advocacy at Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings, respite and camp, day care, residential placement, behavior modification and adaptive skills training.

• Assistance accessing community resources or entitlements such as SSI, day programs, supported employment, independent living skills training, supported living services, residential care home placement, respite, behavior modification, adaptive skills training and competency training (for court-related issues).

Pregnancy Resource Center of Santa Cruz offers no-cost and low-cost services to women in need of pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, prenatal care, perinatal education, well-woman care, std testing & treatment and counseling services. Material assistance such as diapers, baby clothes and baby furniture are available to clients. We accept Medi-Cal. Spanish speaking counseling is available on certain days.
