Treatment Focus: Helping individuals in crisis
Telos is a short-term crisis residential program that serves as a diversion to psychiatric hospitalization for individuals in crisis. The program provides a healing environment where residents receive the treatment, support, and care they need to stabilize and move out of their crisis state. Staff provide group and individual counseling, as well as assistance with independent living skills and connecting to the community. Treatment approaches include Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Awareness Program, Trauma Informed Care, and Dialectical Behavioral Treatment (DBT). A nurse and County psychiatrist are available for medication monitoring and management.

Residents are encouraged to live independently in this supportive, community based setting. Residents are encouraged to develop and practice life skills and relationship building. At Freedom house, clients receive the benefits of community support from recovery peers as well as bilingual house management. This 23-bed residential program serves Spanish speaking, male clientele for a 30-90-day period, based on individual client needs. Staffed by a bilingual team, highly skilled, trained, and certified clinicians help clients focusing on issues surrounding recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders. Program activities include evidence-based trauma informed and cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as focused individual and group counseling, pro-social life skill building, mindfulness, and daily house meetings.

Residents attend the Community Connection's Mariposa Center to learn vocational skills and participate in various volunteer jobs, or they participate in the Community Action Board's Alcanse work crew. Other activities include socialization, recreation, accessing community resources, on-site recovery meetings and individualized attention to assist residents in maintaining sobriety, reaching their personal goals, and transitioning into independent community living

Residents are encouraged to live independently in this supportive, community based setting. Residents are encouraged to develop and practice life skills and relationship building. The multi-story home sits on a large wooded lot, in a quiet and serene setting. At Freedom house, clients receive the benefits of community support from recovery peers as well as bilingual house management. Santa Cruz Residential Recovery offers a 30-bed co-ed residential program, serving clients for 30-90 days, based on individual needs. Staffed by a highly skilled and trained team, certified clinicians help clients focusing on issues surrounding recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders. Program activities include evidence-based trauma informed and cognitive behavior therapies (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as focused individual and group counseling, pro-social life skill building, mindfulness and daily house meetings.
Santa Cruz Residential Recovery offers a 30-bed co-ed residential program, serving clients for 30-90 days, based on individual needs. Located near busy Mission Street in Santa Cruz's beautiful Residential West Side, residents will have access to many local eateries, businesses, activities and job opportunities. Residents are encouraged to live independently in this supportive, community based setting. Residents are encouraged to develop and practice life skills and relationship building. In this supported environment, residents are able to develop a stronger sense of accountability, responsibility and community to further their recovery. Description: Located just off historic Highway 1 in Aptos, CA, Freedom House is a sober living home for 12 men who are actively engaged in recovery. The multi-story home sits on a large wooded lot, in a quiet and serene setting. Freedom House is located far away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Cruz, with convenient public transportation access. At Freedom house, clients receive the benefits of community support from recovery peers as well as bilingual house management. Residents build community connections by attending weekly house meetings where rules and policies are frequently reviewed and assessed which helps to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents. The location provides easy access to public transportation and is in the heart of West Side Santa Cruz, which is bustling with activities and local businesses. At Weeks SLE, residents are encouraged to practice healthy relationships, accountability and responsibility. Active participation in some form of recovery program is required for residents, as well as attending regular house meetings and community chores.
