The location provides easy access to public transportation and is in the heart of West Side Santa Cruz, which is bustling with activities and local businesses. Residents are encouraged to live independently in this supportive, community based setting. Residents are encouraged to develop and practice life skills and relationship building. At Freedom house, clients receive the benefits of community support from recovery peers as well as bilingual house management.
