The multi-story home sits on a large wooded lot, in a quiet and serene setting. Freedom House is located far away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Cruz, with convenient public transportation access. At Freedom house, clients receive the benefits of community support from recovery peers as well as bilingual house management. Residents build community connections by attending weekly house meetings where rules and policies are frequently reviewed and assessed which helps to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents. The Multi-Family Utility Customer Assistance Program (UCAP) is designed to

assist financially struggling households that live in multi-family apartment

complexes. Households that live in large housing complexes usually pay their

water, wastewater, and/or refuse costs to their landlords or property managers via

rent, a 3rd party bill, or via HOA fees. This Multi-Family UCAP provides a onetime

utility assistance check to help struggling households afford their SCMU

utility service fees/costs. In order to apply, income-qualifying households must

live within SCMU's service area (generally Santa Cruz and Live Oak).

RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT SERVICES - ENCOMPASS EL DORADO CENTER

Treatment Focus: Helping individuals step down from locked care El Dorado Center (EDC) is a community-based, short-term treatment program for individuals who may be stepping down from locked care. An intensive, structured residential program, EDC is an unlocked, home-like environment facilitating the healing process in preparation for transitioning back to community living. Our staff provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, structured activities, community outings, and assistance with independent living skills and connecting to the community. A registered nurse is on staff and a County psychiatrist is available for medication monitoring and management.

CALIFORNIA CHILDREN SERVICES PROGRAM (CCS)

Arranges, directs, and pays for medical care, equipment, and physical and occupational therapy for youth (age 21 or under), when these services are authorized by this state program. Services are authorized for youth (age 21 or under) with eligible medical conditions and whose families are unable to pay for all or part of their care.

MEDICAL THERAPY PROGRAM

Provides occupational and physical therapy to children (birth to 21) with certain physical conditions or diseases. These are physical problems that affect the child's ability to control the movements of the body. Examples include cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy or congenital orthopedic abnormalities. The therapy services are offered at two Medical Therapy Units (MTU) which are based at Duncan Holbert School in Watsonville and a Santa Cruz location. All services are provided free to families whose child has a medically eligible condition or disease.

ADOLESCENT FAMILY LIFE PROGRAM
