In the Monterey/San Benito Counties Continuum of Care (CoC), the system is referred to as the Coordinated Assessment and Referral System (CARS).

In addition to a CARS assessment, and if you meet the program requirements, CCCIL can provide Housing Services through our HHAP Program (Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention). CCCIL's HHAP Program provides Rapid Re-Housing (RRH)) services to Monterey and San Benito County Residents. HHAP services are intended to help eligible participants who are literally homeless and collaborate with the applicant to obtain permanent housing; and achieve housing stability.

CRISIS INTERVENTION PROGRAM

ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES (APS)

The County of Santa Cruz Human Services Department's Adult Protective Services (APS) provides intervention services to protect elderly or dependent adults from abuse, neglect, or exploitation. We support older and disabled adults who may be experiencing physical assault or abuse, domestic and/or family violence, sexual assault or abuse, bullying (verbal, cyber, or physical), stalking, harassment, neglect, identity theft or fraud, financial crime or scams.

County APS agencies investigate reports of abuse of elders and dependent adults who live in private homes, apartments, hotels, hospitals, or who are, or soon will be, experiencing homelessness. We support older and disabled adults regardless of status-if you are experiencing homelessness; are an immigrant; identify as LBGTQIA+; are a Veteran, have a physical or mental disability; or if you have limited English language proficiency.

Santa Cruz Residential Recovery offers a 30-bed co-ed residential program, serving clients for 30-90 days, based on individual needs. Staffed by a highly skilled and trained team, certified clinicians help clients focusing on issues surrounding recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders. Program activities include evidence-based trauma informed and cognitive behavior therapies (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as focused individual and group counseling, pro-social life skill building, mindfulness and daily house meetings.

YOUTH SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER SERVICES - ENCOMPASS YOUTH SERVICES

At Encompass, we value dignity and respect for all people as they work toward healing and recovery. Our certified clinicians provide a full spectrum of trauma-informed substance use disorder services for youth and their families. As an integrated behavioral health agency, we also specialize in treating co-occurring disorders. Harm reduction is central to our approach, and we use a number of evidence-based modalities. Mindfulness and body awareness activities are also integrated into our programs. Group Counseling: Evidence-based group models, such as Seven Challenges and Seeking Safety, are offered at our north and south office locations. Individual Counseling: One-on-one counseling is offered in our Santa Cruz and Watsonville offices, as well as in community locations like schools and homes. Intensive Outpatient Counseling: For youth at very high risk, we can provide intensive services (at least six hours per week), including individual, family, and group modalities.
